Day two in the studio is officially in the books...And what a day it was! The Porter Brotherhood rolled back into Big Noise recording studio to keep the momentum going on our upcoming Porter Brotherhood album 139 Steps.
Following the energy of our first session, this second day was all about locking in a strong foundation and we made serious progress.
We focused on building the back line for three tracks, laying down tight drums, bass guitar and early keyboard parts.Theres something special about hearing the songs take shape beyond the rehearsal rooms, that moment when raw ideas start transforming into living, breathing music. The chemistry in the studio between us felt electric, and each take pushed the songs closer to where we know they should be.
Our current recording list ( all working titles ) includes Rise up - Pictures of you - 139 steps - Addiction - Silent town - Brainfreeze - Revival - Promise - Cuckoo's nest - Everyday - Down on your luck - Don't ask why - Spidey and Sweet soul music. Every track has it's own story, and we can feel this album growing into something powerful, a mix of grit, groove and soul that captures what the Porter Brotherhood is all about.
We will be back in next time for guitars and vocals will follow, more layers that will bring these songs fully to life.
