Day three in the studio and the energy's still high. We've officially wrapped up the backline for the last three songs on the album, a huge milestone! The rhythm section has really come together, and there's a solid sense that the albums backbone is now fully in place.
Chris Teeder was on fire today, putting the finishing touches on the Hammond organ parts and layering in some additional keyboards. The warmth and texture he's brought to these tracks have taken them to another level, that unmistakable vintage character shining through while still leaving space for everything else to breathe.
It's starting to feel reel now, with the core instrumentation locked in, the songs are starting to take shape rather than just sessions and takes. You can sense the excitement building in the room as we edge closer to the vocals, overdubs and the finer details that will define the Porter Brotherhood sound.
